TRAINING FELLOWSHIPS IN STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY AND BIOPHYSICS

Dear Colleague,

We are writing to solicit your help in identifying candidates for Graduate Fellowships in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).  Spring 2007 we will be awarding  four fellowships for “Graduate Training in Structural Biology and Biophysics (SB+B)” from the Department of Education.  Please see  our web site (http://ncsb.unmc.edu/gaann) for more information.  These SB+B fellowships will be awarded in the first year of graduate studies, will fund the students through out their graduate school education and are intended to recruit students pursuing a science majors with an excellent academic records who plan to pursue a doctoral degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Structural Biology and Biophysics.  Traditionally underrepresented students are especially encouraged to apply.

Fellowship stipends are $30,000 per year.  Tuition is completely covered by the fellowship and UNMC.  Additional funds are available for books, travel to professional conferences, computer laptop, and other educational expenses.


We would appreciate it if you would share this information with students who are interested in graduate studies in AY 2007.
