It worked!! Thanks a lot Garib. I downloaded what looks like the latest version of refmac (version 5.3.0011). I ran the same com file that would have been produced had I used ccp4i. My copy of ccp4, which I believe is the latest fink distribution of ccp4, has refmac version 5.2.0019. Is there some way to incorporate this version of refmac into the ccp4 suite? Try refmac from the webpage www.ysbl.york.ac.uk/refmac/data/ Take binary files for your computer and try. It may work.
