Postdoctoral Position in Structural Biology
The Wistar Institute

We have an opening for a post-doctoral position in the field of telomere biology that is available as of January 2007 in the laboratory of E. Skordalakes. The focus of our research lies with protein nucleic acid assemblies that participate in the replication and maintenance of telomeres. Projects include structural and biochemical analyses of: a) the various protein-nucleic acid components that constitute the telomere replication machinery and b) protein-nucleic acid assemblies that regulate telomerase activity and maintain the integrity of the eukaryotic chromosome ends.

The successful candidate will have recently acquired a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry and/or macromolecular crystallography or related field. Interested applicants should provide a curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation to E. Skordalakes, The Wistar Institute, 3601 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
