Dear CCP4ers, I would like to bring to your attention the conference on "The Role of Structures in Biology", which will be held at the premises of the DIAMOND synchrotron, Didcot, UK on Monday, Feb 19th. 2007. International experts in the field of synchrotron radiation in biological research as well as representatives from major funding agencies and from industry will present their view on how Structural Biology has influenced biological research by introducing atom-based concepts into the field. The list of invited speakers includes Ted Baker (Auckland, NZ), David Brown (Pfizer), Josefina Enfedaque (EC), Louise Johnson (DIAMOND), Sine Larsen (ESRF), Iain Mattaj (EMBL), John Norvell (NIH), Venki Ramakrishnan (MRC), Gunter Schneider (Karolinska), David Stuart (Oxford) and Ian Wilson (Scripps).
