Hi all: Sorry for the off-crystallography-topic inquiry: Has anyone had any success with the plasmid-based insect cell protein expression system called "TripleXpress" sold by CytoStore (www.cytostore.com)? It is a "direct" recombinant expression system, supposedly allowing you to bypass the baculovirus manipulation and infection step. I guess I'm defining success as verification that your protein of interest is being expressed by the insect cells, although if anyone has been able to additionally purify and crystallize that would be fantastic to know too!
