A Postdoc and 2 PhD positions are available
in the Computational Structural Biology Group
at the Forschungszentrum Juelich, Germany
The group is developing computational methods for the structural
interpretation
of low-resolution and sparse experimental data with a focus on cryoEM.
Possible projects include:
+ Determination of structural ensembles from cryoEM data using a
Bayesian approach
to characterize conformational heterogeneity and flexibility.
+ Protein structure prediction under low-resolution experimental
restraints.
+ Development of cross-validation approaches in cryoEM structure
refinement.
+ Integration of high-resolution crystal structures with solution
state NMR data.

The Forschungszentrum Juelich is one of the largest research centers
in Europe, located
close to Cologne and close to the Netherlands and Belgium. The center
offers excellent
computational resources: Europe's first petaflop supercomputer
"Jugene" is now operational.
