position in structural biology is available at Dr. Hong Ling's Laboratory in
the Department of Biochemistry, The University of Western Ontario, London, ON,
Canada. The research is focused on translesion DNA replication and regulation
of epigenetic factors. The current projects are built on our success in
cloning, expression and purification of the key proteins in the biological
systems. Combined approaches in molecular biology/biochemistry/ biophysics and
X-ray crystallography are employed in the structure-function studies of the key
proteins.
The laboratory is fully equipped for molecular biology, biochemistry,
biophysical measurements, and X-ray crystallography. We fully access the
synchrotron beamlines in APS, CHESS, and NSLS.
The position requires a Ph.D. degree with experience in protein purification,
crystallization and structure determination.
