THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - MILWAUKEE Senior Research Scientist (equivalent to Research Assistant Professor)
The Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee seeks outstanding applicants for a senior scientist position (equivalent to research assistant professor). Candidates must have: a Ph.D. in physics or closely related field, and at least two years of postdoctoral research experience in one or more of the following fields: theory of electron or X-ray scattering, advanced imaging algorithms, and/or numerical methods. Exceptional candidates from related fields will also be considered. A strong record of independent research evidenced by publications is required. Responsibilities include research in structure determination by scattering methods, development of advanced noise-robust algorithms for structure recovery and reconstruction, and leading research associates.
