The Panne laboratory at the EMBL Grenoble, France seeks to recruit an outstanding postdoctoral scientist for an interdisciplinary project involving high-resolution structural determination of macromolecular assemblies combined with single molecule biophysical analysis.
We invite applications from candidates with strong background in biophysics or biochemistry and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research. The proposed project provides an excellent opportunity to combine single molecule biophysics and atomic structure determination with the goal to bridge the divide between structural analysis of macromolecular assemblies at atomic resolution and the dynamic behavior of such assemblies in vitro. A detailed project description can be obtained at the following website: http://www.embl-heidelberg.de/training/postdocs/eipod/app2009/projects/index.html Funding is available for three years. The closing date for receipt of applications is Saturday, 31st October Interested candidates can register and apply for this position at: https://www-db.embl.de/jss/servlet/de.embl.eipod.EipodApplication The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is one of the top life sciences research institutions in the world and is located at five sites: the main laboratory in Heidelberg, Germany, the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) in Hinxton, UK, and outstations in Hamburg, Germany, Grenoble, France, and Monterotondo, Italy.
