The Position
The candidate will join a protein expression group to produce protein reagents required to explore the structure and functional properties of proteins of therapeutic interest and to support protein reagent development for HTS, therapeutic antibody discovery, and basic research. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of the optimization of protein expression and small scale purification and characterization of proteins produced using the E. coli and baculovirus expression vector systems (BEVS). Experience with protein expression (E. coli and BEVS) and protein characterization (affinity purification, SDS-PAGE, Western analysis) is required. Experience with protein sequence analysis and expression construct design as well as experience using automated liquid handling systems is highly desired.

Who You Are
BS/MS in biochemistry, chemistry or related discipline. Five or more years of technical experience in biochemistry or areas related to protein expression are required. Candidate must be highly organized, motivated, work independently in a collaborative team-oriented setting, and have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
