Thanks you for the fat response. I am using copper pins.
What is interesting for me is that it really only happens at certain 
geometries. As long as I don't move chi I can collect for days, if I set chi to 
let's say 400 and Omega brings the pin to move so that it forms a small angle 
with respect to the nozzle I get ice. In the Oxford cryo steam manual it gives 
too small angles between pin and nozzle as one possible reason for ice buildup. 
I have tried to rearrange the set up as much as possible but have not found a 
good solution for this.
