a postdoctoral position is available in my lab. at the CIC bioGUNE research centre (https://www.cicbiogune.es/people/nabrescia) near Bilbao (Spain) to work on the structure-function studies of virus-host interactions and virus assembly. The project entails cryo-image processing and data analysis of viruses and virus-receptor complexes. Applicants should hold a PhD in structural biology/virology, be highly motivated in the use of computational tools in electron microscopy and have previous experience in image processing (SPA or tomography), and/or methods development and programming. The position is available for 21 months, which could be further extended. Preferable start date: April 2020. The CIC bioGUNE research centre is equipped with an EM platform (with 'feeder' microscopes) and is actively involved in the development of the high-end Basque Resource for Electron Microscopy (BREM) facility.
