Dear all, SPring-8, a Japan synchrotron facility, will resume user operation in next April after the scheduled shutdown. Currently, the shutdown due to COVID-19 is not under consideration.
For those who wish to use synchrotron for proprietary research, SPring-8 is calling for rapid access proposals, “Proprietary Time-Designated proposals.” Further, our MX beamlines, BL45XU and BL32XU, can provide mail-in automatic data collection service. Therefore, we offer the combined use of the rapid access beamtime and the mail-in service for any for-profit users who do not have a valid proposal and wish to use it. This service is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have an interest in it, please visit our web site: http://bioxtal.spring8.or.jp/index_en.html <http://bioxtal.spring8.or.jp/index_en.html> If you have any questions, please contact us.
