Dear All, I wanted to bring to your attention that the Department of Neurosciences at Case Western Reserve University has an open search for tenure-track faculty with expertise in CryoET and cellular neuroscience. CWRU is now in the process of major expansion of infrastructure for cryo-EM and Cryo-ET. At present, the cryo-EM Core Facility features a Titan Krios 3Gi equipped with Volta phase plate, energy filter, and a K3 direct electron detector in addition to several screening microscopes. In addition, there are committed funds to expand the cryo-EM capabilities into tomography and purchase cryo-FIB-SEM and Cryo-CLEM instrumentation.
The new investigator will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with the structural biology community at the Cleveland Center for Membrane & Structural Biology and also with a diverse group of individuals in basic science and clinical departments within the School of Medicine and four affiliate hospitals.
