Dear Hughes,

I understand your concerns, but there is also a positive side to consider. Not
every group or individual uses online channels to spread false or misleading
material. Many early-career researchers are trying to reach wider audiences in
order to explain their work and exchange knowledge, and there is nothing wrong
with using the tools that exist.

Scientists are trained to read complex material and evaluate it critically.
Without open communication, we would risk creating a gap in public
understanding. Sharing accurate information can help fill that gap and give
people access to explanations they would otherwise. We would be staying in an
informational vacuum.

Kind Regards,
Nino
