hi folks After some discussion with Tom about this, a good look through the PDF and a great deal of head-scratching, I think I can fill in some of the details of the provenance of these files.
I am almost 100% sure that I scanned the originals while at the LMB - although they are labelled as David Thomas’ copies, his name on the covers looks to me as if it’s in Andrew Leslie’s handwriting, and the additional handwritten notes in the documents (e.g. P 60 of Phase III) were also written by him. Older readers might remember that I worked for Andrew and had an interest in data processing for some years... I think that I might have sent Graeme or David W a copy of the scans in the early days of the DIALS project (the scans date from 2010 - 2013, which would be about right), but really have no memory of having done so. It’s excellent that the scans haven’t just disappeared into a black hole and are now available to a wider audience! Kudos to everyone who actually made this possible.
