The Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Pharmacology (BMBP) at 
Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) invites applications for a 
tenure-track Assistant Professor position.



This is an open search, and applicants from a broad range of research areas are 
encouraged to apply, including those working in structural biology, cryo-EM, 
X-ray crystallography, and related areas.



We seek candidates who will establish an externally funded research program 
investigating fundamental mechanisms of human health and disease. The 
successful candidate’s research is expected to complement existing programs 
within BMBP and across IUSM, including the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer 
Center, Stark Neurosciences Research Institute, and Center for Diabetes and 
Metabolic Diseases. Candidates will also contribute to graduate and 
professional education at IUSM.



Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in biochemistry, pharmacology, 
molecular biology, or a closely related field. Applications should include a 
CV, a cover letter (2 pages maximum), a research statement describing future 
plans (3 pages maximum), and contact information for at least three references.
