And to reply to my own post, tonight I took a closer look at the boards and
noted that someone had written "3" and "4" on the CPU and memory board
handles in sharpie. I checked out the power and ground signals on the card
edges and they match up with a typical MUD slot. Based on this I felt it
safe to assume that these go in slots 3 and 4 of the 11/34's CPU backplane
(the first two SPC/MUD slots).

I pulled the 11/34 CPU boards in slots 1 and 2, the M7859 and bootstrap
boards from slot 3 and installed the upgrade boards in slots 3 and 4. Ran
the front panel cable to the connector on the CPU board and powered it up.
 "7" appears on the LED panel and if I hit the "HLT/SS" button I get an ODT
prompt! The BOOT button causes the RUN light to momentarily flash, but
that's about it. Not sure what else can be done with the front panel, if
anything, would be nice to find a manual.

At any rate, I've successfully booted 2.11BSD on the upgraded 11/34, and it
seems to work well. If anyone out there knows more about this boardset,
let me know...

Thanks,
Josh
