We went to a meeting of the SCCS in Los Angeles at the Explorer's club.
Doesn't get as much attention as the Silicon Valley group, but there
were 200 to 500 attendees / month.
There were a couple of guys there with a system they were proud of
demoing it. Sold for 666 bucks. Kind of expensive, but had the
display incorporated. (yes it was both Jobs and Wozniak)
Most went for a system to run CP/M and the big chase was for ASCII
terminals and the Altair then IMSAI came out. I got hold of the latter,
fwiw. I didn't get into the Apple ][ until the CP/M card was available.
