Database Architect
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months (CTH)
Rate: DOE
Location: Mountain View, CA
Goal: Looking for a database architect who is able and willing to work as a
data modeler, database developer, and DBA for production databases
Skill-set:
a.. Will be involved in re-factoring existing stored procedures and
production support of hosted databases
b.. Excellent skills in T-SQL programming and performance optimization
expertise specific to MSSQL 2005
c.. Excellent skills in Oracle and PL/SQL
d.. Should be able to leverage expertise in current and future platforms:
Oracle, SQL Server and Postgres
e.. Will be required to mentor staff on data layer best practices and
document best practices for on-going db maintenance
f.. Analyze and understand the business processes and design databases for
various applications that support those processes
g.. Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views for the
applications as required
h.. Review of requests / suggestions, with recommendations & action plans
i.. Business logic migration from SPs to application layer
j.. Support priority customer issues regarding data layer
k.. Respond to CPE escalation requests for confirmed S1 CRs involving data
layer (Do not respond to tech support directly)
l.. Administration Support may be required (when requested): Setup,
maintain and support databases and other database related tasks, Design,
optimize and monitor the databases, Setup database clusters, and backup and
recovery processes.
