Hi, 

I think that your compilation really did show errors when building
dtcm, but had  not stop because of them. You can descend into
programs/dctm and try to run make from there to see the errors.

I use ubuntu 12.04LTS (not LTSP) and had the same problem: link
failed because of missing registerrpc() function. 

I had to install the tirpc library (package libtirpc-dev) and  put

#define HasTIRPCLib YES

into config/cf/site.def to get the calendar manager/calendar server
built.
