As I reported in my previous messages CDE does not work on LTSP5 and Ubuntu10.04LTS. CDE freezes.
However, I just checked with LTSP5 and Ubuntu12.04LTS and YES, it works!!! I can only see one glitch: the cursor remains busy forever when you move it on the desktop as you can see in the screenshot here: http://myria.math.aegean.gr/~atsol/tmp/cde-busycursor.png <http://myria.math.aegean.gr/%7Eatsol/tmp/cde-busycursor.png> (cursor at top right) If you move it on any window it gets out of being busy. Moreover the "busy" state as you can see is not the CDE icon but the one inherited by Ubuntu cursors. In any case I think Jon can move the Ubuntu LTSP from "not working" to "working" in his page here: http://sourceforge.net/p/cdesktopenv/wiki/SupportedPlatforms/ If we can resolve the busy cursor too then that would be great. In a few months our labs will switch to latest UbuntuLTSP and of course I will recheck CDE on them.
