Ah, yes. I'm happy so long as I can get it done before our production
release. You said a couple of weeks, so there should be plenty of time.

Yep.

p.s. Do you know why I'd be getting "byte-order invalid" errors from
make World? I can post the full text later if necessary, but I know
I've run into this before, so thought it might be a common problem
with a known solution.

No clue. FreeBSD? which version, and which modules are complaining?

This is OI Hipster, x86, and it also happens on OpenSolaris, SPARC.
That's probably not relevant, as the problem was that I didn't export
LANG=C and was building with LANG=en_US.UTF-8. It's documented that you
need to do this in the pre-build steps, so I guess that's fine for now.
I'll attach the script anyway in case you're curious; the trouble seems
to arise here:

---
cleaning in doc/es_ES.ISO8859-1/guides...
make: Fatal error in reader: Makefile, line 777: Invalid byte sequence
---

As one might suspect, there's an ES character on that line.

There are many curious bugs with CDE when you try to use unicode;
maybe some day I'll get around to addressing them. =)

That's definitely a weak point in CDE (possibly Motif as well). I'd love to fully support UTF8 someday. Unfortunately I don't have enough knowledge in that area...
