The API for the data classes in CDK 1.0.x are 100% frozen. For trunk it is in flux. I would likely serialize to CML, though I am not sure CDK-CML-CDK provides a 100% approach without any data loss... Which would make a very nice 3-6 month student project: roundtripping of CDK objects in CML.
