I advertise on ebay also sell from my shop and include with systems we sell.
today i had an email stating that i have infringed upon copyrights for this software (basically there saying that im selling unauthorized
copies).
exact line "encourage or facilitate the infringement of copyrights, trade marks, or other intellectual property rights"
The product i distribute I'm proud of. We have them professionally duplicated and printed, then inserted into glossy labeled cd cases and finaly have them cellophane wrapped.
the end product is very professional and we give free backup to go with it.
I have used an advertising header that has been taken directly from ebays examples of "what is allowed" and they state in the few examples given that it is ok to use a line such as "Microsoft office compatible"
so, what is the problem.
Has openoffice.org truley made a report to ebay that im infringing on their copyrights?
I have signed up to all the requested things, filled in the right forms. listed myself "hasgot.com"
im logged in as a member "gehngus"
I have printed out the license/distribution agreement that states that i can assume i have the right to distribute while i wait for a reply (ive been waiting for 2 months)
can any one help?
the last thing i need is my company account being kicked off.
kindest regards
Steve
