With apologies, but it would appear that you have not had a reply to your
e-mail of 09/10/07.

Please find below my basic enrolment guide to Community Distribution.
You do not have to enrol, you can just go to the OpenOffice.org web site and
download, BUT, if you enrol, you will then be kept up to date with future
developments and releases.

Please make sure that you have subscribed to the relevant mailing lists, and
follow the links for guides to files to distribute etc.

1.Copy this link (edit, copy, paste) , or type directly into your address
 bar.
Or stay on line, and double click the link:

NOTE that there is NO www. in this address:

   http://distribution.openoffice.org/index.html

You should see a BLUE BUTTON "Would you like to distribute cd roms?"
                   ..................................................
 or

 2. If you cannot get in on this link, go in by the 'Front Door' as
 below!
 www.openoffice.org
 Now proceed as follows
Double click the Downloads button on the top bar.
Scroll down till you see the sub section 'Other'
Double click CD-ROMs.
This will bring you to the BLUE BUTTON.

Whichever way you 'entered', proceed :

Under Mailing lists, make sure that you are subscribed to :
                      [EMAIL PROTECTED] .....
                      [EMAIL PROTECTED] ......
                      [EMAIL PROTECTED] ......

Once you have received the automated confirmation of subscription, you can set
up a user name and password for the site.

Please note that Openoffice.org DO NOT send out CD's.
The act of producing the cd's and leaflets etc. for distribution is the
Community Distributors contribution to ' Spreading the word'.
You may if you wish make a nominal charge for the cds, and this is explained
within the mission statements etc.

You can download the latest version (2.3) for win32, this works on all
versions since 98/II up to and including Vista, or browse for linux and other
alternatives if you need
them, by going back a page and clicking on the Download button (GREEN).

There are options for a download with,or without Java, suggest you take
 the one with.
This may save you, or your 'customers' a second download from Java link,if
they do not have it on their machine.

SAVE the download, and this will then write to disc.

If you have any problems down-loading, you could always go to the button 'Find
a Distributor Near Me', and scroll down to your home country.
You will see various distributors listed here who may be able to mail you a
copy.

Look out for the links to disc templates, flyers, specification sheets
 etc.
You will have to 'apply' to use these..

Come back if you have any problems.

 All the best

 Andy Shiels
