Alan,

If you download it then it is free. The distributor is not charging you for a license but for the cost of making and packing the CD plus postage. As an OpenOffice.org distributor I do not charge but will accept donations for the disk I sent.

Hope this helps.

Hello support,

I recently was on a computer website that was selling Auction and sales of computers. On the upgrade page which was sent to me there was among the upgrades the following:
Open Office CD for £10. They were also selling the AVG anti-virus for the same
price.

I was under the impression that both Open Office and AVG are free to download
from the Web.

As far as Avg is concerned they do have sales of the non free anti-virus but
they cost a lot more than £10.

I don't know that you have a similar re -seller agreement. I would emphasis the
following that this was for a CD and not installed by the company because the
computers were sold without operating systems.

Please write back immediately as I would like the correct information before I
approach this company about this irregularity.
