> Does anybody know of an FTP mirror in the UK in case David is interested?

Try the University of Kent mirror service:-

http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/download.openoffice.org/

It's likely to be easier to buy a CD copy of OpenOffice.org from one of the
UK distributors http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/index.html#UK.

But it's about time that this distributor list had a good purge (hint, hint
to the distribution project maintainers). Many of the domains there are dead
/ up for sale / moribund / only sell very dated versions of OO.o. Does not
give a good impression to would-be purchasers. Maybe lulu.com is as good a
bet - is this an "official" copy, it says it's by the OpenOffice.org team.

Also check out the Open Disc http://www.theopendisc.com/ which contains
OpenOffice.org and many other useful programs for Windows. Available from
some of the online CD shops too.
