Some units think that the disk is not empty after you do a simulated

you need to reload the disk so the drive checks for it again.

DAE in cdrdao is done by paranoia lib. What paranoia mode are you using?
the
default is full paranoia, which is slow. Try --paranoia-mode 0 in the
command
line, or Correction Method = No checking if you are using gcdmaster
(xcdrdao).
