Yikes, that's just nasty. Calling someone a Democrat is bad enough...
Doing it in light of this current Florida issue is quite wrong.

Perhaps you should use another distribution? There are plenty of
reasonable and, IMHO, better ways to run GNU/Linux than Redhat. If you
are running RH7 because it has cutting edge software (X4, support for
2.4, etc) then you should expect and deal with such problems.

The idea that it's the Kernels fault OR the compilers fault is inane,
again IMHO. The point is, there are issues -- the quickest fix is to
use the older compiler. Growing pains, with GCC, libc, etc -- at some
point it will be stable. Wait till it is, or shut up and fix it :)

Bashing Redhat is a bit like being angry at the rich for having to much
money. You forget that they are the reason you have a job.
Redhat has done quite a bit for the Linux platform, and as such they
have some power to shape the future of the platform. If they support
Gnome by default, Gnome becomes the default, etc. The fact that they
picked a snapshot compiler; took matters into their own hands, is not a
bad thing. It's a risk they took to attempt to improve commercial
developer support for linux -- IE fix C++. Over all, this is a good
thing.
