Your first mistake is giving slashdot so much weight.  Between the "we
post anything, especially flamebait" editors, to the "we hate anything
that's established, or not free" contributers, it should ONLY be taken
as entertainment.  CmdrToco is the farthest thing from a "geek" I've
ever seen, and he's not even close to being an ESR "hacker". See his
webpage for more details.

It's much safer to remember that all news is entertainment, especially
news reported by activists. "Redhat 7 Full of Bugs!"
