  Other than I think you mean silicone not silicon, yes, I saved my 2600
after Joerg mentioned the problem. My choice of lube is "SiliKroil" from
Kano Labs. It's silicone, eats rust, penetrates to .0002 inch, and
protects against rust on exposed metal for six months.

  I don't sell it, just use it, and after eight years of using it for
rusty metal, exposed parts, locks on outside doors, etc, I still think
it's the best on the market.
