  I think that's a good decision. However, there is a published
standard for ZIP format, and only conformant versions in use as far as
I can tell (being on the developer's mailing list I would expect to
hear). It's not an ANSI, ISO or POSIX standard, but at least as
standard as anything defined by RFC.
