Hello all. I'm sorry if this is the wrong email list for this, but I'm not sure where else to go. I have a Ricoh mp7120 cd-rw drive. It is an atapi drive and have both the ide-scsi and sg drivers compiled into the kernel. The drive works great with cdparanoia and cdrecord. However, when I try to play audio cds on it, here's what happens. If I have just put the audio cd in the drive, issuing the command cdcd play will start the cd playing like it should do. However after issuing a cdcd stop command, it requires me to issue two cdcd play commands in a row to get the cd to play again. This happens with cdtool and dcd as well. I have the following in my append line in lilo.conf. append="hdc=ide-scsi" If I remove this command from lilo.conf, and tell cdcd to use /dev/hdc, the drive will then play audio cds fine. I no longer have to issue two cdcd play commands to play a audio cd. Do I need to add any more information to the append command, or is there a bug in the ide-scsi emulator, and if so, who do I report it to? there is no problem using cdparanoia or cdrecord with this drive. The drive is on it's own ide port as a master drive. Any help would be appreciated. -- Rick Hayner [EMAIL PROTECTED] Member spebsqsa, Baritone Kalamazoo Mall City Chorus.
