  I think you totally misunderstand what "standard" means. If you don't
want to include required information you can write anything you want,
but it is no more standard than a Gameboy pack or the firmware CD for my
heating system.

  In other words you are writing a non-standard (or sub-standard) image
and then wanting that to be the mkisofs default.
