Hi, I've a PlexWriter 24/10/40A and I was wondering if that PoweRec-II stuff works with cdrecord? PoweRec-II should start burning at 16 speed for the first 6 minutes of the cd, then stop writing and check the quality of the written stuff, if it's ok increase speed to 20 until minute 16 of cd and then increase speed to 24. Now my question is: is this PoweRec-II used automatically or do i have to add a special option? When i use cdrecord -speed 24 ..., is that powerrec-ii used?
A second question: does anyone with such a drive knows what that jumper at the back of the drive labelled dma does?
