Hi,

a friend of mine had problems with her cd burner under windows, so we
tried it on my machine under Linux, but also ran in trouble. So I'd like
to know if this could be a hardware failure. I don't believe in a
defective medium as we tried different ones.

Sorry, I can't give more info because it's only the output of a gui
frontend (gcombust) we used. I hope the sense codes are enough for an
exact error detection. It was just a plain data disk, nothing special.
After the failed try, I burned ten of those images on my own device
without problems.
