  I'm currently running 3.1.22, but I have run almost every kernel since 
2.4.0 on at least one box, and my backup is to CD, so I probably tried it.

  If Doug is following he might comment, sg has been quite stable for a 
while, and I doubt that's the problem.

  WRT the problem noted in another thread, did you check the settings for 
DMA and 32 bit data? And have you been using the same cable on the system 
which doesn't work right? I assume CRC would catch data errors, but I 
wouldn't bet more than a six pack on it.
