I cannot speak for this 200 line hack (less then 1% of the cdrecod code).

cdrecord-ProDVD is a smooth integration for all DVD writers (approved by the
DVD-Forum) that are currently on the market.

Things like automated media type recognition ... are not found in this hack.

Cdrecord-ProDVD now is available for more than 4 years.
