Jörg,

I think that most of them are reluctant to include software marked as
alpha, even if it is more stable then some other released software,
commercial or not.

I personally use version 1.11a14 and find it rock solid;
(OK, this is with kernel 2.2.19 which I use most of the time);
Actually I am so happy with it, that I have even not yet unpacked
Nero CD which came with my recorder.

Would you possibly consider marking some version as beta
and call for testing, and if no serious bugs are reported
make it a 1.11 or something released version?

I hope if such a released version existed, Linux vendors would
include it in their update areas and that would save many users
from unnecessary problems.

Please allow me to take this opportunity and thank you for your
hard work on free software, which make UNIX and UNIX-like world so much
better place to live in.
