Well I have seen Sony CD-ROM drives go bad in the past, so not sure how
they are.  I picked up an Asus 32x recently and it has worked very well
so far (better than expected given I put it in a pentium 100).  With DMA
on and burn-proof enabled, it burns just fine at full speed.  I figured
it would take more cpu speed than that to keep up.
