If I'm correct Linux uses glibc2 with kernels >2.0.xx. Glibc2 is another name for libc6 under linux (/lib/libc.so.6). Try to download the other binary. And read the README carefully to set the CDR_SECURITY variable. ... > GRAVE-DVD backup-2002-12-23 "*" > Cdrecord 1.11a40 (i586-mandrake-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 J?rg Schilling > Note: this version is an inofficial (modified) version and thus may have > bugs that are not present in the original. DVD-RW works fine here, same drive, firmware 1.0c, 2.4.20-vanilla, cdrecord-prodvd-1.11a40-i586-pc-linux-gnu, Debian testing. Why don't you buy at least 1 DVD-RW? Much better for testing purposes. For plain data you can also try growisofs for both DVD+R and DVD-R: http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/ http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/-RW/ With regards, Huub Reuver -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
