The last version is just the 2.0.

Never mind, what is your recorder : Manufacturer, Model, Firmware.
Do you check that your recorder is supported by cdrecord. I think that it
must be.

I think you have problem with your ASPI layer or your IDE configuration. You
should see in the Readme.ATAPI file.
