Hey, I have RedHat with kernel 2.3. I just installed a plextor CDRW (shown below). But whenever I try to burn CDs with the command "cdrecord file.iso" the following error shows up. It perplexes me how if I type "cdrecord -eject" it does eject the CD.
Cdrecord 1.9 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jrg Schilling scsidev: '0,0,0' scsibus: 0 target: 0 lun: 0 Linux sg driver version: 2.1.39 Using libscg version 'schily-0.1' Device type : Removable CD-ROM Version : 2 Response Format: 1 Vendor_info : 'PLEXTOR ' Identifikation : 'CD-R PX-W4824A' Revision : '1.02' Device seems to be: Generic mmc CD-RW. Using generic SCSI-3/mmc CD-R driver (mmc_cdr). Driver flags : SWABAUDIO cdrecord: No such device or address. Cannot set SG_SET_TIMEOUT. Currently running 'read disk info' command. Condition not caught: SCSI ALREADY RUNNING !!. Raisecond: not implemented. Aborted (core dumped) Then after I get this message if I type "cdrecord -scanbus" it won't see my cdrw anymore. System has to be rebooted for it to see it again. Any suggestions? Thanks, Wai -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
