Upgrade to a stable kernel. Using a heavily outdated development 
kernel isn't going to help much anywhere. Likewise, use the latest 
cdrecord, not a historic artefact (version 1.9?). If the problem 
persists, read

to find out how to report problems in a way that allows Mr. 
Schilling to help you.
