It reads "DATA LENGTH field specifies the length in bytes of the following data that is available to be transferred." "Following" brings the ambiguity into it. "The data that is available to be transferred" can be interpreted as "header size + page size as it appears in unit memory." But "the *following* data..." can as well be interpreted as "data available in this particular transfer." Then note that in other similar cases ambiguity is explicitly eliminated by stating for example "This length shall not be truncated due to an insufficient Allocation Length." Lack of similar qualifying statement for MODE SENSE command only strengthen the ambiguity. A. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
