There was one more thing that was brought to Plextor attention (see http://lists.debian.org/cdwrite/2004/cdwrite-200402/msg00094.html for example). I don't know if they even tried to address the issue (or if they can confirm that it's not a bug, but intended behaviour), but could you submit dvd+rw-mediainfo output with DVD+R media (preferably certified for 8x) in? A.
