You did not write that, but I asume that cdrecord-ProDVD now works with this drive....

I did a quick test with the following setup: - linux-2.6.4-rc1-mm2 - cdrecord.prodvd 2.01a25 - UHCI driver -> older VIA motherboard (no high-speed usb) - Imation media (see below).
No problem to write 1.5G image to the disk ... but awfully slow. More tests when I receive a newer PC with high speed usb.
