On another list someone was keen on LG, model LG GSA-4163, cheap too. Also does DVD-RAM, which supposedly can be mounted read/write as a hard disk out of the box with Linux. Emphasis on "out of the box". Pioneer 108 and 109 are crap, personally I wouldn't risk the 110. I have a 106, and Pioneer stopped supplying firmware updates after 12 months, which means I can only burn 4x media, which are no longer on the market -> Pioneer = paperweight.
