Hi, i had to learn that i disabled half of the desired SCSI logging by mistake in libburn-0.8.6. It will show commands and diagnostic replies, but it will not show regular reply data from the drive.
So rather than the youngest releases cdrskin-0.8.8 and xorriso-0.6.4 you should use the development snapshots http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin-0.8.9.tar.gz http://www.gnu.org/software/xorriso/xorriso-0.6.5.tar.gz Untar ; cd cdrskin-0.8.9 ; ./configure ; make ; cdrskin/cdrskin -version Untar ; cd xorriso-0.6.5 ; ./configure ; make ; xorriso/xorriso -version The versions 0.8.0 and 0.5.6 from april and may of this year do not have the bug. But they do not show the raw diagnostic bytes (aka sense data) which are sent by the drive. It is not clear yet whether these raw bytes will provide extra information. So again: the versions you used up to now are not too bad. Have a nice day :) Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
